This week, meet our Senior Client Success Manager, Sara McGlothlin.
How long have you worked at Gather? It’ll be five years in March 2019!
How would you describe your role in one sentence? I partner with clients to help them grow their private events business.
Where did you work before joining Gather? Immediately prior to Gather, I led a support team for a telecommunications company. Before that, I worked in events and hospitality for more than 10 years between my dad’s restaurants, a local fun park in my hometown, and fine dining in Atlanta.
What made you want to work at Gather? For me, Gather was the perfect blend of my love of hospitality (I grew up in restaurants) and technology as a Georgia Tech grad.
What are your hobbies? Eating my way through Atlanta, rewatching “The Office,” and pilates (so I can keep eating my way through Atlanta).
What’s a fun fact about you? My two pitbull rescues aren’t related, but they both have one ear that sticks up and one ear that goes to the side.
What’s your favorite part about working at Gather? I’m sure it seems like I have to say this, but I really do love this industry and everything about hospitality. If I didn’t work at Gather, I’d likely work in hospitality in some capacity. Plus, we have dogs in the office!
