When Alex, Tom and I founded Gather in 2013, we fully intended for it to transform the way that events are booked, planned and managed.
What started out as a three-man operation in my living room has grown into a platform used by over 5,500 venues nationwide, and in 2019 Gather played a role in executing 1.5 million events. That’s a lot to celebrate!
Today, we have some big news.
I’m excited to announce that Gather is heading into a brand new chapter– one that will allow us to better serve our customers and the hospitality industry as a whole. As of February 2020, Gather is joining forces with Tripleseat, a leading event management platform. This move comes as Vista Equity Partners, which invested in Gather in 2017, acquires Tripleseat and merges the two companies.
Going forward, Gather and Tripleseat will operate as a single event management platform under the Tripleseat brand. This merger allows Gather and Tripleseat the opportunity to combine best-in-class platforms, create an improved user experience, and further invest in developing technology to support the future of hospitality.
What this means for you:
Current Gather customers will experience no immediate changes, and will receive support and detailed updates as you’re introduced to Tripleseat. For now, keep on using Gather to plan, manage and execute amazing events for your guests.
What this means for Gather:
Our overall mission remains unchanged: to help our customers sustainably grow their businesses, seamlessly manage their events and continuously delight their guests.
Throughout this exciting time, we remain dedicated to supporting our clients both in their day-to-day operations and long term success. As always, our customer experience team is here to help and answer questions.
This is a big step forward for Gather, Tripleseat and the hospitality industry. We are thankful for your partnership on the Gather journey, and continue to value your insights and feedback. Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward.
