2019 Gather Year in Review

As we close out 2019, we wanted to look back at what made this year special. Between growing our team, expanding our customer base, and releasing new product features, it’s been a busy year. We also helped our customers grow their businesses! Just look at these numbers:

Building Gather

This year we made changes to make the Gather experience even better for both venues and their guests – here are the highlights. To start the year, we revamped the Gather home page to put all of your immediate action items front and center for quicker navigation and more visibility into event sales. Next, we launched an optimized lead form with a streamlined flow that helped increase conversion by 40%! We also added email threading – a much-requested feature that allows messages to be grouped in threads so users can stay organized and reply quickly.

Throughout the year, our engineering team made updates to upgrade Gather’s technology. These efforts ensure optimal performance for customers as Gather continues to grow. Last but not least, we launched a new support page for more ways for customers to get support, including a chat feature. 

Growing Gather

Throughout 2019, we saw growth across all aspects of our business! This past spring, we announced a strategic investment by Enlightened Hospitality Investments LP (EHI), the growth equity fund affiliated with Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). With the additional capital and, more importantly, an abundance of industry expertise, we’ve been able to grow our team and provide a better customer experience. This year, we were awarded a spot in the top 15% of Inc 5000’s list of most successful companies in America and on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list of fastest-growing technology companies.

Our team loves to support customers wherever we can – this year, we did six events across the country at customer venues. Our new event series, Gather Live, brought customers together for a day of learning and networking in Atlanta, Chicago, Washington DC, and San Francisco. As we continue to plan where we are heading in 2020, we’re excited to bring together, even more, Gather customers across the US.

We’re also working to develop our team as people in and out of the office. It’s not all work and no play! Gather spent time in our local Atlanta community for our second annual Gather Gives Day, where the entire team spent the day volunteering with nonprofit organizations around Atlanta. It was awesome!

Looking Ahead 

As we look forward to the New Year, we can’t wait to build on the successes from 2019. With fresh leadership and new functionality, we are looking at the next decade eager to help our customers grow.
